Lessons
Vocal instruction is available to persons age 12 through adult. Young persons under
the age of 12 are evaluated on a case by case basis.
Lessons are taught in what is called a Module. The Fall Module runs from September
through January; the Spring Module from February through June; the Summer Module
from July through August. All Modules have scheduled holidays. Makeup lessons
are available if the student or teacher has an unexpected need to cancel.
It is recommended that all students take at least a 45 minute lesson. Thirty minute
lessons are generally not available but can be arranged for students under the age of 12
or due to special circumstances. Lessons are priced according to the general guidelines
of the Conservatory Teaching in Your Community group, and will be discussed in
person.
Classes in basic piano and music theory are recommended for the serious singer. This
enables the student to become a more well-rounded musician which is to his/her

In the Piano Division, beginning piano students can start as early as age 5 and usually
take a 30 minute lesson. Music theory is taught as they learn to play. Students can
participate in a yearly recital as soon as they can play reasonably well. Again, Studio
